CWJC Circles Luncheon Raises Money to Help Women in Need

At SweetWater Marketing, part of our mission is to make our community a better place to live, often by partnering with local nonprofit groups. We’ve been working with the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Madison County for a few years, and we love helping them see their vision of helping women and families become a reality.

CWJC teaches women skills to enter the workforce, increase their earning potential and become self-sufficient. You can learn more about how the organization does this here . These attributes help not only women, but families – and entire communities. That core value – that our future depends on the strength of our families – is one that we firmly believe.

SweetWater Marketing has been helping CWJC with social media, print collateral and promotional video production, to help their message and ministry reach more women whose lives can be changed by this program. And there are ways you can help, too.

CWJC’s program is free to the women who participate, but operates on donations and dedicated volunteers. Please consider being a mentor or teacher. You can help recruit new students, so the program can reach more families.

You can also support the organization financially. CWJC’s largest fundraiser, the CIRCLES Luncheon, will be Monday, Nov. 6, in the Von Braun Center North Hall starting at noon. This lovely event includes good food, fellowship, and a chance to do some early Christmas shopping at one of many tablescapes designed by such local businesses as Railroad Station Antiques, Lawren’s, Josie’s Gift Shop at Burritt on the Mountain, Belk, and Pottery Barn. The featured speaker will be the Rev. Carolyn Maull McKinstry, who survived the 1963 bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, which killed four of her friends. She is the author of “While the World Watched: A Birmingham Bombing Survivor Comes of Age During the Civil Rights Movement.”

Learn more about the CIRCLES Luncheon in this 35801 Magazine article. There is still time to register here, but space is limited – so hurry! Join us in making our community a better place.
